Terms & Conditions

Kin House

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Welcome to Kin House. These Terms & Conditions explain how our studio, classes, memberships, purchases, website, and Kin Kids supervised playroom work. By booking a class, purchasing a membership or package, reserving a Kin Kids spot, attending an event, visiting our website, or entering the studio, you agree to these terms.

We've written these policies to keep things clear, fair, and safe for everyone in our community.

For questions, contact us at berkley@kinhouse.studio.

1. About Kin House

Kin House is a movement and community studio offering mat Pilates, yoga, breathwork, strength, stretch, prenatal and postnatal classes, workshops, and events. Kin Kids is our onsite supervised playroom, available during select class times so parents and caregivers can take class while their children play nearby.

Bookings, purchases, memberships, and account management are handled through Mariana Tek, our third-party booking and payment platform.

2. Accounts and Booking Classes

To book a class or purchase from Kin House, you must create an account through Mariana Tek and complete the Kin House Client Agreement + Waiver. Families using Kin Kids must also complete the Kin Kids Family Agreement. These agreements remain in effect for all future visits until updated or revoked.

Classes should be booked in advance through Mariana Tek. To reserve a spot, you must have an active membership, valid class credit, package, drop-in purchase, or approved payment method on file.

Class sizes are limited, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. To join a waitlist, you must have an active class, package, or membership on your account. If a spot opens, you may be automatically added to the class and notified by email or text. Please treat the waitlist like a real reservation. If you are added to class and can no longer attend, you are responsible for canceling within the cancellation window, even if you were added within 6 hours of class start. You will be removed from the waitlist 1 hour before class start time; after that, you may manually opt in if a last-minute spot opens.

3. Cancellations, Late Cancels, and No-Shows

We know life happens, especially for parents. Our cancellation policy exists so we can honor our instructors' and Kin Kids staff's time, manage small class sizes, and give waitlisted clients a chance to attend.

Cancellations must be made through Mariana Tek.

Emailing, texting, calling, or messaging us on social media does not automatically cancel your class or Kin Kids reservation or exempt you from late cancel or no-show fees.

Clients must cancel at least 6 hours before class start time to avoid a late cancellation fee.

Class

  • Late cancel fee: $8

  • No-show fee: $15

Kin Kids

  • Late cancel fee: $8

  • No-show fee: $15

Class and Kin Kids reservations are separate reservations, and fees apply to each. If you late-cancel both your class and your child's Kin Kids reservation, the combined late cancel fee is $16. If you no-show for both, the combined no-show fee is $30.

If you have a limited class package or membership, your class credit will remain on your account after a late cancel.

Fee waivers may be considered for illness or emergencies at Kin House's discretion, but they are not guaranteed.

4. Arrival and Late Arrival

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before class to check in and settle in. If you are using Kin Kids, allow additional time to check your child in and get them settled.

To protect the flow of class and the experience of other clients, guests will not be admitted more than 5 minutes after the scheduled class start time. This applies to everyone, including members.

If you are not admitted due to late arrival, your reservation will be treated as a no-show and the no-show fee will apply.

5. ClassPass

Classes booked through ClassPass are subject to ClassPass's cancellation and no-show policies as well as Kin House's policies, including the 6-hour cancellation window, late arrival policy, studio conduct policy, and the Kin House Client Agreement + Waiver. ClassPass bookings are not available for Kin Kids or for classes offered with Kin Kids.

6. Memberships

Memberships renew automatically each month unless canceled.

By purchasing a membership, you authorize Kin House and/or Mariana Tek to charge the payment method on file according to the membership terms shown at purchase.

Membership fees are non-refundable once charged, except where required by law.

Cancellation. To cancel a membership, you must submit your request in writing to berkley@kinhouse.studio at least 30 days before your next billing date. Not using your membership does not count as cancellation.

Pauses. Membership pauses are considered case by case for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, medical needs, travel, or other circumstances. Pause requests must be submitted in writing to berkley@kinhouse.studio before your next billing date and are subject to Kin House approval. Memberships cannot be paused retroactively.

Founding memberships. Founding membership pricing is honored only while the membership remains continuously active. If you cancel a founding membership, your founding rate ends and will not be reinstated. If you rejoin, you will pay the then-current standard rate.

Any membership-specific terms shown at the time of purchase are part of these Terms.

7. Pricing and Price Changes

Kin House may change pricing for classes, packages, memberships, Kin Kids, and retail from time to time.

If the price of your membership changes, Kin House will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email before the new price takes effect. Your continued membership after the effective date means you accept the new price. You may cancel before the effective date without penalty.

Price changes do not affect class packages or credits already purchased.

8. Class Packages, Drop-Ins, Workshops, and Gift Cards

Class packages, drop-ins, workshops, events, and gift cards are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

Class packages have expiration dates, which will be shown at the time of purchase.

We may consider extensions for medical needs, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, emergencies, or other special circumstances at our discretion, but extensions are not guaranteed.

Gift cards are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash unless required by law.

9. Kin Kids Supervised Playroom

Kin Kids is Kin House's supervised playroom, created to make it easier for parents and caregivers to take time for themselves while their children play nearby.

Kin Kids is not a licensed child care facility, daycare, or preschool. It is a supervised play space connected to the Kin House studio experience, and it operates on the basis that a parent or legal guardian is on the premises the entire time their child is checked in.

Ages. Kin Kids is available for children ages 2 months to 13 years.

Parent or guardian must remain onsite. A parent or legal guardian must remain on the Kin House premises for the entire time their child is checked into Kin Kids and must remain immediately reachable. You may take class, sit in the lobby, work, or relax at Kin House, but you may not leave the premises. Your child must be checked out before you leave.

Reservations. Kin Kids is available during select class times and must be reserved in advance through Mariana Tek. Reservations are tied to a specific child and family account. The cancellation and no-show policy in Section 3 applies to Kin Kids reservations.

Registration. Before using Kin Kids, a parent or legal guardian must complete the Kin Kids Family Agreement and provide accurate registration information for each child, including:

  • Child's name and date of birth

  • Parent or guardian contact information

  • Emergency contact information

  • Allergies

  • Medical or safety notes

  • Feeding or bathroom notes

  • Any relevant behavioral, developmental, or comfort information

  • Authorized pickup information

You are responsible for keeping this information current.

Diapering, feeding, and nursing. Kin Kids staff do not change diapers and do not feed children. Kin House provides rooms where you can change or nurse your child. Please arrive early enough to change, feed, or nurse your child before checking them in. Snacks may be permitted in Kin Kids at Kin House's discretion, and this is subject to change at any time, including for allergy or safety reasons.

Illness. For the safety of everyone, children may not attend Kin Kids if they are sick or showing symptoms of illness, including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious rash, persistent cough, eye discharge, lice, or symptoms of a contagious illness.

Refusal or early pickup. Kin House may decline to admit a child or ask a parent or guardian to pick up a child if the child appears ill, cannot be safely supervised, is unable to be consoled, or is engaging in behavior that may be unsafe for themselves, other children, or staff. You agree to return to Kin Kids promptly when requested.

Behavior guidance. Kin Kids staff use positive redirection and, when needed, will ask a parent or guardian to step in. Staff never use physical discipline.

Injuries and incidents. Kin Kids staff will notify a parent or guardian promptly of any injury, illness, or notable incident involving their child. Staff do not administer medication of any kind. In an emergency, Kin House may call 911 or arrange emergency care and will notify the parent or guardian immediately. Parents and guardians are responsible for any costs of emergency care or transportation.

Authorized pickup. Children will be released only to the parent or legal guardian who checked them in or to a person listed as an authorized pickup on the family account. Kin House may require photo identification. Children will not be released to anyone under 18 or to anyone who appears to be impaired.

Belongings. Kin House is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged toys, bottles, cups, clothing, comfort items, or other personal belongings.

Availability. Kin House determines Kin Kids capacity, hours, staffing, activities, and procedures, and may modify them as needed.

Additional terms governing Kin Kids are contained in the Kin Kids Family Agreement.

10. Health, Safety, and Participation

By taking class or participating in any Kin House offering, you understand that movement, exercise, Pilates, yoga, stretching, breathwork, and related activities involve some risk.

You are responsible for listening to your body and choosing what feels appropriate for you.

Please tell your instructor before class if you are pregnant, postpartum, injured, recovering from birth or surgery, managing a medical condition, or have any movement limitations we should know about.

Kin House instructors may offer modifications and general guidance, but they do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, physical therapy, or treatment.

You should consult your healthcare provider before beginning or returning to exercise, especially if you are pregnant, postpartum, injured, or managing a medical condition.

By participating, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with class, movement, studio use, and related activities.

Guests must be 13 or older to take class. Guests under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian signature on file.

The studio may be slightly heated. Please bring water and listen to your body throughout class. Mats are provided. Clean sneakers are required for strength classes.

11. Studio Conduct

Kin House is meant to feel warm, respectful, and welcoming. Clients are expected to treat instructors, staff, Kin Kids staff, children, families, and other clients with kindness and respect.

Kin House may refuse service, cancel bookings, suspend accounts, or terminate memberships if someone behaves in a way that is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, or repeatedly violates studio policies. Membership fees are not refunded when an account is terminated for conduct.

Guests brought by instructors or staff are subject to these Terms and must complete the Client Agreement + Waiver before class.

12. Personal Belongings

Kin House is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Please keep valuables with you or leave them at home.

Lost and found items may be kept for a limited period of time before being donated or discarded.

13. Retail Purchases

Retail purchases may be eligible for exchange or store credit only if unused, unworn, unopened, and returned within 30 days with proof of purchase.

Sale items, opened wellness products, personal care items, and special orders may be final sale.

14. Email and Text Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails and texts from Kin House and Mariana Tek, including booking confirmations, waitlist notifications, class reminders, Kin Kids notices, schedule changes, and account or billing messages. These messages are part of how the studio operates.

Marketing emails and texts are optional. You may opt in at signup and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any marketing email or replying STOP to any marketing text. Message and data rates may apply.

15. Photos and Videos

Kin House may occasionally take photos or videos in the studio, during events, or in community spaces for marketing, social media, website, or promotional use.

Photo and video consent is separate and optional. Kin House will not intentionally use identifiable images of clients, children, or families without a signed Photo + Video Consent on file. Declining consent does not affect your ability to use Kin House services.

Clients may not photograph or record other clients, staff, instructors, children, or the Kin Kids playroom without permission.

16. Website and Digital Tools

Our website and booking tools are provided for general information, scheduling, purchases, and account management.

Kin House may update, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the website or online services at any time.

Because we use third-party platforms, including Mariana Tek, some features may be subject to their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and technical limitations.

17. Intellectual Property

All Kin House names, logos, branding, photography, class names, written content, website content, graphics, and other materials belong to Kin House or are used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use Kin House materials without written permission.

18. Privacy

Your use of Kin House is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information, including information collected through Mariana Tek, our website, and Kin Kids registration.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kin House, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, Kin Kids staff, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, claims, or expenses arising from your participation in classes, use of Kin Kids, use of the studio, use of third-party platforms, or attendance at Kin House events, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.

If you have a concern, please contact us first at hi@kinhouse.studio so we can try to resolve it directly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Changes to These Terms

Kin House may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated version will be posted on our website or made available through Mariana Tek, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of Kin House services after updates are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
